The Charlotte Youth Athletic Association has provided quality recreational baseball for the boys and girls in northwest Rochester, NY for the past 60 years. Originally established in 1953 to foster and promote athletics in the Charlotte community. The CYAA program has taught fair play and good sportsmanship to thousands of young boys and girls over the years. As times have changed, our mission has expanded beyond the Charlotte community to include all other areas of the city and surrounding towns.

Through its network of dedicated parents, volunteers, and sponsors, the CYAA continues to offer opportunities for boys and girls from ages 4 to 15 to develop their physical abilities as well as their sense of sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, and hard work.

CYAA programs have been carefully developed to take into account the developmental stages of the players, offering 5 divisions of baseball to meet the challenges of each age level.

It’s not hard to picture some of these youngsters on a major league field someday. Many of our players have gone on to play high school and collegiate level sports.  Others use their experiences in leadership roles and some play just for fun.

Every CYAA player gets a uniform shirt and hat to keep. Each child will also receive a trophy at the end of the season and each league participates in and end of the season celebration.

Some might say that one of the feature attractions of “City Living at its Best” is the Charlotte Youth Athletic Association.  With so many changes in our community, it is important to know that Charlotte maintains its “hometown” values and that all children and families are at the core of that philosophy.
